Thompson under fitness cloud

A FITNESS cloud hangs over Melbourne Victory star Archie Thompson after the striker was not seen at training this morning.
Team officials hosed down speculation Thompson had suffered an injury, saying he was told not to train because of a stomach virus.
The setback comes as Victory prepare for Saturday night’s A-League grand final at Telstra Dome.
Midfielder Grant Brebner said he expected Thompson to be right in time for Saturday.
“Archie came in this morning but I don’t think he was feeling too good,” Brebner said.
“I don’t think it’s an injury so he should be fine.”
