Change your diet – you're not going to lose weight by exercise

If you’re trying to lose weight by going to the gym, or running or any other kind of exercise, STOP. You’rewasting your money and your time. You are going to stay fat, unless you change your diet.
I estimate that diet is at least 80 percent of weight loss. By all means, exercise, do what you like, it’s good for for all those other things people tell you about, but actual weight loss is not among them.
A high processed foods diet is going to keep you a fatapouf your whole life no matter how many spinning classes you take. You burn about 500 calories a workoutbut your ice cream sundae with aBig Mac chaser adds 3500calories ormore.
It’s not only the high calorie stuff. I am convinced it’s all the preservatives and additives that is in food that keeps us fat.
The French eat tons of cheese and fatty pigs and bread and are on average waaayyy thinner than we are. But their food is mosrtly freshly produced. Theygettheir bread, milk and cheese freshly made with aminimum of ingredients so itmetabolizes quicker.There isn’t a Tolstoy novel of ingredients on most of their food labels.
Also, the AMOUNT they eat, tends to be much less than we do.
Want to lose weight guaranteed?
Eat everything you are currently eating – but eat HALF the amount. You might want to cycle down to 3/4 for a week or two, and then move to half, you might even feel hungry, it’s ok not be stuffed to the gills every waking minute.
But this of course leads to the issue behind the food. A lot of times we eat, not because it tastes good or to fulfill our nutrition, but because food is filling a void. Fine, no need to beat yourself up over it, if that’s the case, but recognize what role food might be playing in your life – is it a habit of yours to “drown your sorrows” with a pint of Haagen-Dazs. Drown away, but have two spoonfuls instead of the pintwhile you find abetter way to get happy.
Wellness is about REAL happiness, not temporary gratification. You have the power within you right now, to change. Take one step differently today than you did yesterday. Admire your ability to do something different – that really helps you. Be more proud of yourself and you have already begun the process of losing weight permanently.
