AUGUSTA, Ga. – Kids at the MCGHealth Children’s Hospital got a surprise visit by Santa on Christmas.
He brought gifts by the sleigh-full for the whole family as he stopped in to see more than 60 good little boys and girls.
Many of the children were too sick to go home for Christmas, so Santa came to them to bring some cheer.

About 500 University of Nebraska students participated in a 12-hour dance marathon in Lincoln Friday night into Saturday morning that raised more than $35,000 for Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha.
The event ran from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds will help the hospital’s Child-Life Program and Rainbow House.

: A Cincinnati teen is recovering at a Detroit hospital after getting an unexpected zap from a manhole cover in Downtown Detroit.
The 17-year-old was leaving Saturday night’s Red Wings game and stepped on a manhole cover in front of the Detroit-Windsor tunnel’s duty free shop when he reportedly got a shock.
Family members say they saw sparks just before the teen’s body fell to the ground.

GALVESTON, Texas – Administrators at Galveston’s
discussed the facility’s fate on Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
The hospital has been closed since it was heavily damaged during Hurricane Ike and has since taken a second hit from the poor economy.

Expansion Of SCHIP Passes, Millions Of Kids Get Health Insurance
Washington (dbTechno) – The Senate has agreed with the House and has approved an expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), supplying millions of low-income children with health insurance.
