NZ baby food tested after China health investigation

Infant formula is being tested in New Zealand after a Chinese company with Kiwi links was threatened with “serious punishment” over contaminated baby food.
The Chinese company was part owned by New Zealand dairy export giant Fonterra and faced investigation by the Chinese government after a dangerous chemical was found in baby formula in China.
Investigators believe Chinese dairy farmers added melamine a chemical used in plastic to milk powder.
