FDA issues warnings on Indian-made generic prescription drugs

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday put the Indian generic drug giant Ranbaxy on notice that it would block entry to the U.S. market of 25 generic prescription drugs widely used by American consumers. England wait on Rio fitness

England are awaiting a verdict on Rio Ferdinand’s fitness ahead of the World Cup qualifier with Croatia in Zagreb.
The Manchester United defender was due to be assessed by the England medical staff as he battles to overcome the neck problem that kept him out of the 2-0 victory over Andorra.
Joleon Lescott filled the breach against the part-timers but the experienced Ferdinand would be a major loss if unable to face Slaven Bilic’s side.

Fast-food diet may lead to arrest

Criminals with an appetite for fast food could be tracked down more easily with a new fingerprinting technique that utilises the salt in their sweat.
Police can now detect corrosion left on metal by finger-tip sweat – the saltier the diet, the more the metal corrodes.
The technique works better than traditional fingerprinting which relies on residue that can be wiped away.
