Roxon admits hospital system requires 'big rethink'

Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon has acknowledged Australia’s hospital system does not have the right mix of emergency services and acute care.
A report by the Australian College of Emergency Medicine has found more than 1,500 people die in public hospitals each year because of overcrowding.
Most of the deaths were the result of delays in treatment for serious conditions like heart attacks.

NJ teen shot in chest, drives self to hospital

TRENTON, N.J. – A Trenton teenager who drove himself to the
hospital after being shot in the chest by a masked man is expected
to survive.
Police say the unidentified 19-year-old teen was shot early
