Discovery Laboratories responds to FDA request

Discovery Laboratories Inc.
said Friday it submitted a response to the Food and Drug Administration’s request for more information on the developing drug Surfaxin, which is aimed preventing respiratory distress syndrome in premature infants.
Discovery originally hoped to gain approval for the drug in 2006, but clinical and manufacturing issues have led to repeated delays.
