The Betty Ford Center Children’s Program is holding a question-and-answer program tonight to help parents and other concerned adults learn to talk to children about drugs and alcohol.
The program, focused on parents and counselors of fifth through eighth graders, will be held at Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center, 39-000 Bob Hope Drive.

Former agriculture undersecretary Jocelyn “Jocjoc” Bolante will not take in visitors at his St. Luke’s Medical Center room following orders from his doctor on Friday.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Merck & Co. is expanding an already-large study of an experimental cholesterol drug — rejected this spring by U.S. regulators — to get results sooner so it can move up its second bid for approval.
