LEBANON – A lot has changed since the day in the 1980s
when Karen Switzer of Lebanon was surprised to see a sign
proclaiming “females on board” on her door in the
Philadelphia VA hospital where she was being treated.
Today, the VA is adjusting to an influx of female veterans

Tobacco, health groups want smoking ruling revised
WASHINGTON (AP) — Health groups and tobacco companies are asking a federal appeals court to reverse parts of a landmark ruling two years ago against cigarette-makers.

A man was arrested after he led Friendswood Police on a high-speed chase early Monday during which he dumped a large bag containing drugs and narcotics —including Xanax, methamphetamine and Ecstasy—out of his car, authorities said.
