Siamese twins airlifted to hospital

Siamese twins were flown by emergency helicopter from Welkom to the Universitas Academic Hospital in Bloemfontein on Thursday, for observation and evaluation.
Free State health MEC Sakhiwe Belot welcomed the babies, two girls, at the Universitas hospital on Thursday afternoon.
“The mother is in good health and the babies are stabilised,” said Belot shortly after the twins arrived on an SA Red Cross Air Mercy Service helicopter.
