Togo says to distribute HIV/AIDS drugs at no cost

LOME, Nov 15 (Reuters) – Togo will start distributing free of charge from Nov. 17 the anti-retroviral drugs that extend the lives of HIV/AIDS patients, its government said on Saturday.
“Anti-retroviral medicines distributed by the network of the Central Supply of Essential and Generic Medicines (CAMEG) will be free of charge from Monday 17 November throughout the country,” an official statement broadcast on state radio said.

Province commits $10 million to new civic centre

TRURO – The Nova Scotia government has come on board with Colchester County’s civic centre project in a big way.
Premier Rodney MacDonald presented Truro Mayor Bill Mills and Colchester County Mayor Bob Taylor with a $10-million cheque Monday morning. The total project is expected to cost about $35.5 million.

Council curious about family health team's progress

The PrimaCare Family Health Team may want to buy any surplus land that is left on the Curtis Ave site that will house their new headquarters.
The FHT confirmed with council last week they still want the Curtis Ave site and are working on a site plan to be delivered to the county shortly so that zoning issues can be addressed for the project.

Davis Drugs proprietor 'sure loved his clients'

Michael A. Davis tended to the aches and pains of customers
who patronized two drug stores he owned and operated on
Saginaw’s East Side for more than
20 years.
The longtime proprietor of the former Davis Drugs at Cherry
and East Genesee and Pat and Mike’s Pharmacy at North
14th and Janes died Friday at Mountain View Manor in
Saginaw. He was 80.
