NEW YORK (Associated Press) – Psychiatric drug developer Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Monday the Food and Drug Administration won’t be able to complete its review of the company’s Silenor insomnia drug application by Dec. 1, and will extend its review for up to three months.
In morning trading, Somaxon shares tumbled 11 percent to $1.56. The company’s Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date is now Feb. 28, 2009.

(10/23/2008) By Corinne Hautala – Another teen is dropped off at an Omaha hospital under the safe haven law. But this one is unique. The teen dropped herself off and her 10month old son. It happened Friday at Immanuel Medical Center.
The 16yearold girl told officials her mom kicked her out of the house and had taken welfare checks meant for the baby.
