PLEASANT GROVE – Still in hospital clothes, Bridger Hunt sat in the driver’s seat and put the keys in the ignition of his family’s four-wheeler.
Just an hour after being released from the hospital, 12-year-old Bridger used his working leg to ram the accelerator and pressed onward.
“We are going to live life,” said his grandmother Dyanne Richan Casper, who guided the steering wheel from the passenger’s seat.

WAILUKU – Brian Murphy, the director of a medical marijuana advocacy group based in Paia, said he was surprised by the “fabricated” criminal charges lodged against him and his friends.

JANESVILLE – Two committees disagree on whether Rock County should have a coroner or medical examiner.
On Tuesday, the Rock County Board Staff Committee voted 6-3 in favor of keeping the resolution the board passed in August 2006, which would establish a medical examiner system effective January 2011.
On Nov. 17, the Public Safety and Justice Committee voted 4-0 in support of revoking the resolution and continuing the coroner position.

LEBANON – A former retirement home nurse plead guilty today, Nov. 18, to stealing drugs from elderly patients, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
Roxie Luff, 21, of 128 Algonquin Drive, Hamilton, was a nurse at the Otterbein Home in Lebanon, when police said she stole Hydrocodone and Oxycodone pills from patients as she was taking care of them.

The Gloucester Family Health Center is officially open to begin seeing medical patients. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health Division of Healthcare Quality has issued the final approval and clinic license, meaning the health center is now able to schedule and meet with medical patients.
