PITTSBURG — A 39-year-old Novato man staying at a Pittsburg motel was seriously wounded Tuesday afternoon and a man believed to have stabbed him was caught after the victim’s car was involved in crash in Stockton several hours later.
The assault occurred about 4 p.m. at the Mar Rey motel, in the 1900 block of Railroad Avenue, said police Lt. Brian Addington.

The Great American Smokeout is being observed in Hawaii today with researchers reporting another big reason for kicking the smoking habit or not starting it.

GALVESTON One woman suffered a critical head injury Sunday when she fell from a motorcycle that had just left the Lone Star Rally, authorities said.
