BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) ―
There’s an investigation into what happened during surgeries at a Boulder County hospital. Surgery patients apparently received saline solution instead of a strong pain killer.
An investigation by the hospital shows it happened because a nurse was stealing the pain medication. The hospital says the patients are fine and they immediately passed the case onto Boulder police.

— A new report says family health care premiums rose almost six times faster than earnings in Texas from 2000 to 2007.
The report released Thursday by advocacy group Families USA found that the annual health insurance premiums for family health coverage provided through the workplace in Texas rose from about $6,600 to about $12,400 — or about 87 percent. LONDON (Reuters) – Singer Amy Winehouse is in hospital after reacting badly to medication, a spokesman said on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Grammy winner was admitted to a clinic after falling ill on Sunday and has been kept there for tests. Winehouse was taken to hospital for a similar complaint in July.

FDA shuts down Good Flow Juice Co.
Keeping it fresh has forced one Austin juice company to shut down, at least for now.
The Food and Drug Administration would not grant Good Flow Juice Co. an exemption from pasteurization requirements.
A judge Friday ordered the company to stop production immediately.
Some local restaurateurs said they’ve used Good Flow as their supplier, because its juice is local and fresh-squeezed daily.

A CENTRAL Coast doctor who had a sexual relationship with a patient has been struck off the medical register for two years.
The doctor can be revealed as Mark Fairbrother, after the
lifted a suppression order on his name today.
He was found guilty of professional misconduct over his inappropriate relationship with a female patient, who was 19 years younger than him and cannot be named.
