Doctor investigated over hospital complaints

A former New South Wales doctor is being investigated by the Health Care Complaints Commission over complaints at a hospital in the state’s north.
The complaints have been lodged by 10 former patients at Lismore Base Hospital, where obstetrician Dr Roman Hasil worked for four years from June 2001 to March 2005.

Nev. kidney center loses federal certification

LAS VEGAS—Four months after becoming the state’s only kidney transplant program, University Medical Center has been stripped of its Medicare and Medicaid certification.
UMC was notified Thursday in letter from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that its certification for the transplant center will be revoked effective Dec. 3.

Students from Sanger released from hospital after accident on bus

At least six Sanger Middle School students were released from a hospital Friday after suffering injuries from a hose that broke loose and sprayed them with hot antifreeze during a bus ride home from a football game Thursday.
