Estero High student found with drugs

An Estero High Student pulled out of class Monday was arrested after school administrators found marijuana in his book bag, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials did not release the name of the student because he is a juvenile. The teen was charged with one count of possession of marijuana, less than 20 grams, and one count of use, possession, manufacture, delivery, transportation or advertisement of drug paraphernalia.

Gunfire erupts in lobby of NYC's Waldorf Astoria

NEW YORK — Gunfire erupted in the lobby of Manhattan’s posh Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Saturday during an apparent robbery.
At least one person was wounded and a second person was in police custody, authorities said.
The shooting started inside a jewelry store at around 2:30 p.m. ET.
Ambulances were called to the scene.

AP IMPACT: Govt Pays for Deadly, Unapproved Drugs

Dozens of deaths have been linked to medications that have never been reviewed by the government for safety and effectiveness but are still covered under Medicaid, an Associated Press analysis of federal data has found.
Taxpayers have shelled out at least $200 million since 2004 for such drugs, and millions of private patients are taking them as well.

A cold Saturday morning will make way for highs in the 50s in the Wichita area today – and Sunday should be even warmer, forecasters say.

FDA Won’t Regulate Toxic Chemicals in Baby Bottles, so Attorneys

Regulators crack down on Citrus Health Care

to suspend enrollment of and marketing to Medicare beneficiaries.
