Police suspect house fire in New Jersey used to conceal homicide, 3 dead
IRVINGTON, N.J. — Officials in New Jersey say a house fire in which three people were found dead and a fourth wounded was started in an attempt to conceal a homicide.
A woman found alive in the house in the Newark suburb of Irvington underwent surgery at University Hospital in Newark for a gunshot wound. Her condition was not immediately available.

LHC Group signs JV venture with Southeast Alabama Medical Center

LHC Group, Inc. (LHCG:
) announced that it has entered into a joint venture with Southeast Alabama Medical Center to provide home nursing services, effective December 31, 2008. This joint venture includes two home nursing agencies in Dothan and Eufaula, in the Certificate of Need state of Alabama.
However, the joint venture is not expected to add materially to LHC Group’s earnings in 2009.

Diet Drug Acomplia (Rimonabant) Reaches End of Road

The end of the road for diet drug Acomplia (rimonabant) was effectively reached on Nov. 5th when French drugmaker Sanofi-Aventis announced it was halting all further research on what it once expected to be the next blockbuster diet pill.
“It’s over,” Sanofi spokesperson Jean Marc Podvin told Bloomberg News.
