De Villiers – takes a gamble.
South Africa coach Peter de Villiers admitted he was “prepared for all eventualities” after taking a gamble on the fitness of Bakkies Botha for Saturday’s Test against Wales in Cardiff.

High-level army probe look at civilian targets

NY Police Investigates Allegation of Brutality

Brooklyn prosecutors and police internal affairs officers are investigating allegations that uniformed New York City police officers beat and sodomized a man in a Brooklyn subway station, officials and lawyers for the man said on Thursday.

Ginkgo extract does not prevent dementia

Ginkgo biloba has been prized for centuries for its suspected memory-boosting effects. But the largest study to date has shown that ginkgo does not, in fact, decrease the risk of dementia.
The study, which appears in next week’s Journal of the American Medical Association, followed over 3,000 volunteers who were 75 years or older. Half were given a ginkgo supplement every day, while the other half were given a placebo, or sugar pill.
