Five taken to hospital after gun attack

Five people were taken to hospital after a gun attack on the outskirts of west Belfast last night.
Shots were fired at a house in what police described as a paramilitary-style attack.
The inside of the property was showered with glass and shotgun pellets during the incident in the Lagmore Avenue area near Poleglass.
Three men, aged 20, 25 and 32, were taken to hospital with shotgun pellet injuries and two women were treated for shock.

Sylvia woman injured in medical-related accident

A Sylvia woman was injured Wednesday after the driver of the car she was riding in had a diabetic reaction and ran off the road.
Rita Searcy, 86, was taken to Promise Regional Medical Center after the 9 p.m. crash on U.S. 50 and Whiteside. The vehicle ended up in a field, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The driver, James Searcy, 60, was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.
