Woman badly burned in UCLA chemical fire dies

LOS ANGELES—A school spokesman says a 22-year-old research assistant severely burned in a chemical fire at a science classroom at the University of California, Los Angeles last month has died.
Spokesman Phil Hampton says the woman died Friday at Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, where she was transferred after getting initial treatment at UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Julie A. Gould and her husband, Derek, bought a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 3 Kings Pond Rd. in Glendale for $550,000 from Matt Twyman and his wife, Laura, on July 18.
The Twymans paid $535,000 for the property in June 2006.
