A Jamaican judge has sentenced two young British women to a year in prison for attempting to smuggle cocaine out of the country by hiding the drug in their wigs.

Police are trying to establish what happened to a nurse who was found alive in Lanarkshire in the boot of her own car 11 days after she went missing.

A set of quintuplets was born Saturday at Staten Island University Hospital, spokesman Christian Preston said. He said the four girls, one boy and their mother were doing well.
