For its 10th year, Garden City Hospital has partnered up with the Michigan Health Hospital Association to assist Michigan families in need.
Throughout the month of October, Garden City Hospital is encouraging members of the community and hospital staff to donate to the 2008 Michigan Harvest Gathering food drive.

PITTSBURGH – It seems the fight workers at a now-closed Beaver County hospital have put up for their final paycheck has paid off.
At a bankruptcy hearing on Tuesday in downtown Pittsburgh, a judge granted back wages for employees laid off from the Commonwealth Medical Center in Aliquippa.
The hospital went bankrupt and closed in December. Executives received their final paychecks, but 200 former hospital employees did not.

Many of the victims of Thursday’s situation at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Germantown were transported to Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.

New employees hired after Jan. 1, who are eligible, will have to pay for family health coverage. The city will continue to pay for the employee’s individual health coverage, officials said.
Family coverage payments will be deducted from the employee’s pay.
