NBA great Thomas to hospital after overdose – media

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Hall of Fame basketball player and sacked NBA coach Isiah Thomas was taken to a hospital early on Friday from his suburban New York home after overdosing on sleeping pills, New York media reported.

Police: Additional drugs found during search

Greensburg-based state police narcotics investigators, in an update to a report they released Saturday, said more drugs were seized from a suspect’s vehicle.

WATSONVILLE — Trisha McGuire hopes that a support group starting this month at Katz Cancer Center will serve a very special function: helping children cope with the knowledge that their parent has cancer.

Bulldog Fitness closes up shop in Dartmouth

Bulldog Interactive Fitness, a subsidiary of Halifax-based DHX Media, appears to have shut down its office headquarters, as well as its main Dartmouth location.
The interactive fitness and entertainment centre for kids on Portland Street was locked Friday, and garbage bags were taped over the windows and glass front door.
The phone line for the Portland Street centre and the one for Bulldog’s headquarters on Wyse Road are out of service.
