Few men planning to drink less

Fewer than one in 10 men will consume less alcohol in 2009 despite Government warnings over excessive drinking, according to a new survey.
Just 9% of men said they planned to cut down, even though a third are known to regularly drink more than the recommended 21 units of alcohol each week.

Stabbing victim transported to Columbus hospital

GREEN CAMP — A junior high student stabbed at school Monday morning was transported to the hospital, said Marion County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Al Hayden.
No information was available about the identity of the victim or one suspect that deputies have in custody, as they were still at the scene of the alleged crime at about 9:30 a.m., Hayden said.
“Investigators are working this right now,” he said.

Teachers sprout facial hair to fight prostate cancer

Social studies teacher Scott Graves showed up to class recently sporting a mustache.
