WASHINGTON — Five people remained hospitalized on Sunday in Denver with injuries they sustained when a Continental Airlines jet ran off a runway on Saturday night while trying to depart on a flight to Houston.
About 33 others who were aboard the jet were treated at area hospitals and released, the authorities said.

The Federal Government has appointed men’s health ambassadors to help develop Australia’s first men’s health policy.
Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s partner, Tim Matheson, is one of the men taking on the role.

A downtown children’s clinic that specializes in well child checkups will be open special hours during the school holidays.

Emerson White is a girl’s girl. She chooses her own dresses, gets her hair done, her nails painted.
And she does it from a hospital bed where she’s spent the better part of her two years.
“Eme,” as her family calls her, is unaware of the struggle her family has gone through to get insurance coverage for one multiple-organ transplant and a possible second to come.
