Sherlock to undergo late fitness test

: JASON SHERLOCK will this evening undergo a late fitness test to determine whether he’ll start for St Oliver Plunkett-Eoghan Ruadh in the Dublin football final at Parnell Park tonight.

Loudoun County endorses future hospital’s plans

County planners said the center meets land-use guidelines and zoning criteria and recommended approval of the applicationl.

Schering-Plough touts pipeline over competitors'

NEW YORK (Associated Press) – Schering-Plough Corp. has many promising drugs in late testing and years of patent protection for its key products, unlike most of its competitors, Chief Executive Fred Hassan told analysts Monday.
The drugmaker has five “star” compounds in late testing or about to be launched, plus 13 other experimental drugs it believes could be best or first in class.

Bayno resigns from Loyola Marymount, citing declining health
January 13, 2009
Bill Bayno barely slept. He barely ate for three, four, five days at a time.
Bayno’s close friend Max Good watched him suffer for weeks.
“It was torture,” Good said.
Good came to Loyola Marymount University as Bayno’s top assistant on the men’s basketball team last spring. Now he is taking over as head coach for Bayno, a 1980 John S. Burke Catholic graduate.

GALVESTON — Upon learning the University of Texas System planned to cut 3,800 jobs where he works, Thomas McKnight just nodded.

Porterville Mom Arrested After Calling Police While On Drugs

A Porterville mother is behind bars after making a phone call to police.
Patricia Morreale originally called police to report a burglary at her home along Waukesha Street.
When officers showed up at her home they realized the 29-year-old was hallucinating and high on drugs. 
 During the investigation officers found Morreale's two children, ages eight and ten, malnourished and in unhealthy surroundings.
