Denny Hamlin was taken to a Birmingham hospital Sunday after a tire failure led to a hard crash at Talladega Superspeedway.
NASCAR said Hamlin was alert and awake, but was transported for futher observation. Hamlin was complaining of a headache and was favoring his right foot after his slow exit from his crumpled car.

President Mary Grealy and former Sens. John Breaux (D-La.) and Trent Lott (R-Miss.) announced Wednesday the

Celgene, FDA: Doctors Should Look For Alternatives To Blood Clot Drug

The FDA posted a letter to its Web site on Wednesday from Celgene Corp. warning users of blood-clot busting drug Innohep that new findings suggest the drug may lead to death in the elderly.
