Ingredients used in more than 25 products marketed for weight loss may contain controlled substances, anti-seizure medication and a suspected cancer-causing agent, the FDA has warned.
The products, which are also marketed as dietary supplements, are available on the Web and in retail stores. Trinity Health announced Monday it has purchased land in southwest Minot to serve as a potential site for a new hospital and medical park.
The 50-acre plot was purchased from Dakota Acres Property and is located a few hundred yards west of the Minot Family YMCA along 37th Avenue Southwest.
“There was a major emphasis to do it now, so we could acquire a large chunk of land,” said Terry Hoff, CEO of Trinity Health.

There’s always something new; eat this, don’t eat that, eat more of this, eat less of that. Fat-free, low-fat, sugar-free, gluten-free, no-carbs… South Beach, Atkins, Whatever… Enough already! The missing mother of a sick nine-month old infant resurfaced Sunday morning: Police say Erica Caines, 22, returned to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children where she once again refused to hand over her child to doctors.
The woman and the child’s father were later arrested. Charges of obstruction are likely, police said.

NEW DELHI: Tibetan spiritual leader,
the Dalai Lama, who underwent a surgery for gallbladder stone removal at a
private hospital here, was discharged on Thursday morning.
“He is
absolutely fit to go back home now,” Dr Pradeep Chaubey, gastro-surgeon at the
hospital, said.
Coming out of the hospital at 9 AM, the 73-year-old
