MARION The Power Factory of Marion will hold a Corporate Fitness Challenge and a Personal/Team Fitness Challenge.
The team challenge will be comprised of four to eight members per team and teams may be created or competitors may join one formed by the Power Factory. Teams will be formed based on training schedule.

The diabetes drug Avandia should be banned over its risks of heart and liver damage, a U.S. consumer group urged.

For at least the fifth time in three months, members of a newly opened health and fitness club on Naperville’s far northeast side have fallen victim to thieves.
At least three lockers and five parked vehicles have been broken into since mid-November while clients were working out at L.A. Fitness, 1836 Freedom Drive, according to written Naperville police reports. One of the vehicles was then stolen.

Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) — Abuse of painkillers causes most of
the accidental drug-overdose deaths in West Virginia, the state
with the biggest increase in such fatalities, a study found.
Of the 295 people who died of accidental overdoses, 275 had
taken morphine-like painkillers known as opioids, the
