Wisconsin’s new drug czar, like other drug czars, is eager to put people in prison. David Spakowicz, appointed as director of the Wisconsin Justice Department’s Narcotics Bureau, says he even will imprison people for abuse of OxyContin, a prescription drug.

Utah is fairly well-prepared to handle a health emergency, meeting seven out of 10 indicators considered critical by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnston Foundation.

of stealing prescription drugs.

“Desperate Housewives” star Jesse Metcalfe has broken his leg falling 40 feet from a hotel balcony down two flights of stairs.
The actor — hunky gardener John in the hit drama — was knocked unconscious.
Jesse, 29, hosted the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, France, on Sunday but slipped as he headed back to his hotel to change.

Ben Weider, the Canadian who helped turn body building from a fringe activity into a worldwide fitness phenomenon, died suddenly in Montreal on Friday. He was 85.
