Since my post a couple of weeks ago about NASA and the antenna evolution experiment,

OSTON — A coalition of health care, social service, labor and legal groups are urging Gov.
to use expected federal bailout money to bolster health programs trimmed because of the state’s budget crisis.
The group, called Put Patients First, is also mailing 100,000 Massachusetts voters a flier about the effects of cuts to hospitals and programs expected to hit low-income residents, children and the elderly particularly hard.

Three people were arrested after police seized 3kg (6.6lb) of class A drugs, believed to be cocaine, in a Devon fishing town.
Officers from the local targeted policing team found the drugs at a property in Brixham’s Harbour View Close on Monday.
Two men, aged 25 and 37, and a 37-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Torquay police station.
They have been released on bail until 9 January.
Childhood obesity has risen dramatically in California and across the nation. It was reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association that chronic conditions such as obesity have resulted in 66 million restricted-activity days and 27 million days lost from school. The Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness has been awarded a $56,000 state grant from the Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness, according to a news release.
It will be used for the council’s communitywide awareness campaign to enhance access to and awareness of opportunities for physical activity in Abilene.

REDLANDS – Redlands residents in the last year continued to depend on local health services for their physical and mental well-being.
Redlands Community Hospital, Redlands’ Beaver Medical Center, and the new Kaiser Permanente offered educational services and classes and worked to provide local residents with the health services they need.

BEIJING (Reuters) – China has questioned 78 people in a health scare involving tainted baby milk formula linked to the death of one infant and the development of kidney stones in dozens of others across the country, state media said on Friday.

PITTSBURG — Police believe a woman who was severely burned Thursday afternoon most likely set herself on fire.
The 33-year-old was a transient with a history of mental illness, and had tried to commit suicide by lighting herself on fire several times, Lt. Brian Addington said.
