MONDAY, Sept. 8 (HealthDay News) — Getting five hours or less of sleep a night increases the risk of falls among women aged 70 and older, says a U.S. study.
It also found that the use of sleep medications doesn’t seem to influence the link between amount of sleep and fall risk.

State regulators on Dec. 23 conditionally approved Novant’s plans for a 50-bed, $96 million hospital in Clemmons. State officials in August had previously granted conditional approval to Wake Forest Baptist to build a new 50-bed, $100 million replacement for

Two Noble County men whose snowmobiles broke through the ice on Sylvan Lake over the weekend died Monday morning at a Fort Wayne hospital.
Rescue teams were called to the lake in Rome City just before 8 p.m. Sunday after four men had been riding snowmobiles single-file across the ice when it gave way.

In a move to be more environmentally friendly, some UK farmers have put their cows on a special diet in order to reduce GHG emissions.
According to “Green and White,”
by Dairy UK, the amount of methane each cow emits in producing a pint of milk can be reduced by following a special diet.
