More milk and less gas from dairy cows

Report Reveals 43% Of The TNA Roster On Drugs Last Year

Police seek motorcyclist charged in woman's death

GALVESTON — Police suspect a motorcyclist facing a manslaughter charge fled Texas to his home state of Florida shortly after a Dec. 14 wreck that critically injured his passenger, authorities said Tuesday.
Bond for John Michael Venable, 30, of Orlando, was set at $80,000 on the manslaughter warrant, which police sought after Crystal Lachelle Stephens, 35, of Beaumont, died, Galveston police said.

Bird flu patient in N China still in critical condition

TAIYUAN, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) — A two-year-old girl who was confirmed Saturday to be infected with bird flu in north China’s Shanxi Province is still in critical condition, local health authorities said Monday.
The girl surnamed Peng is being treated at the Fourth People’s Hospital in the provincial capital of Taiyuan. “The patient is in critical condition, but her vital signs are normal,” said a Shanxi Provincial Health Department spokesman.

Melamine byproduct in more US infant formula

Two shot at downtown Hayward BART station

HAYWARD — The downtown Hayward BART station is closed after two people were shot near the station’s entrance at about 12:40 p.m. today, authorities said. Both victims were transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.
A teenager was shot in the abdomen and is in critical condition. The other victim — believed to be a bystander — was shot in the “lower left flank” and is expected to survive, said Hayward Fire Capt. Eric Vollmer.
