The FDA has localized the source of the recent Salmonella outbreak. The funky peanut butter and peanut butter paste came from the Peanut Corporation of America processing plant in Blakely, Georgia. As the winter holidays come to a close in January, the University Fitness Center (UFC) will be changing their hours slightly. Beginning January 2, 2009, the Fitness Center will be closing on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm instead of 9 pm. Why the change in hours? The UFC website provides the answer: “[L]ack of use by UFC members and the cost of keeping the facility open when it is not busy.”

Washington (dbTechno) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has come out and announced that they have approved the AstraZeneca drug Seroquel XR to treat bipolar disorder.
The drug from AstraZeneca was previously approved by the FDA to treat schizophrenia, but will now also be used to treat bipolar disorder.
The Swedish company announced Friday that the FDA has given the drug the green light.
