Man bound, beaten in Concord home invasion

CONCORD — A man was tied up and pistol-whipped over the weekend by a group of home invaders who may have been looking for drugs, police said.
Police were called to John Muir Medical Center in Concord about 10 p.m. Friday by a woman reporting that her 20-year-old cousin had been beaten by men who had broken into his apartment, said Concord police Cpl. Kerry Cerletti.

Teacher integrates fitness into her classroom

More men are popping erection drugs after prostate cancer treatment as an increasing number of younger patients are diagnosed with the disease.

Las Vegas man injured in explosion in condo garage

LAS VEGAS—Police and fire officials are investigating the cause of an explosion in the garage of a northwest Las Vegas condominium that left a man with what authorities called “severe traumatic injuries.”
