Striking a perfect balance

Police find drugs, cash, stolen gun

NEW PARIS, Ohio — A New Paris man faces a felony charge of drug possession after his arrest at home following a report of a domestic dispute.
Kelley Lawson, 46, of 6371 Eldorado Whitewater Road, paid a $600 bond and was released from Preble County Jail on Tuesday.

PVCS fitness room continues to grow

SOUTH DAYTON – The specifics surrounding the new fitness room at Pine Valley Central School continue to be worked out.

Barbara Bush out of ICU

– Former first lady Barbara Bush was moved out of the intensive care unit of a Houston, Texas, hospital into a regular room Thursday after surgery to repair and seal a perforated ulcer, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Hospital to reduce staff

In the wake of substantial losses during the past fiscal year,
