— An evaluation of 203 women as part of the multifaceted Los Angeles Atherosclerosis Study (LAAS) found that those who transitioned more quickly through menopause were at increased risk for a higher rate of progression of “preclinical atherosclerosis” – narrowing of arteries caused by the thickening of their walls.

A New York man answered to a charge Thursday of possessing crack cocaine but a defense attorney argued in court that the drugs belonged to a woman at the scene because the baggie was found under her baby.
Twenty-two-year-old Sean L. Kurg also known as Robert Boyd, according to prosecutors pleaded innocent in Rutland District Court to a felony charge of possessing almost 14 grams of crack cocaine.

Pacific Air Forces commander Gen. Howie Chandler has ordered a revamped
fitness testing program on the heels of a worldwide Air Force audit that found
unit commanders had failed to effectively implement and manage fitness programs
