Students launch bid to seek out organ donors

Tuesday, the Mental Health Commission in Santa Barbara County opened up about the services and funding available in the county.
A lot of the focus was on money. Last year, county
dealt with a nearly $7 million budget shortfall, and the current money crunch is making a difficult situation more difficult.

Police investigating health club thefts

Naperville police late Wednesday were continuing their investigation into a burglary at a newly-opened health club, in which three lockers were looted and a car was stolen using one of the victim’s keys.
The break-ins and theft occurred sometime between 6 and 7:55 p.m. Wednesday. That was when police were called to L.A. Fitness at 1836 Freedom Drive, just south of Interstate 88, on the city’s far northeast side.

Chemical exposure sends man to Greenville hospital

EUREKA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A man was injured Thursday after a wooden box left in his
driveway released a highly concentrated fertilizer when he
opened it, authorities said.
The victim, a 27-year-old resident of Montcalm County’s
Eureka Township, was taken to United Hospital in Greenville.

information about his condition be released, but unnamed
