Wal-Mart shoplifting suspects charged with possession of drugs, paraphernalia
Police responding to a shoplifting call at a Kingsport Wal-Mart ended up making two arrests on drug charges.
According to a Kingsport Police incident report, the officer responded to the West Stone Drive Wal-Mart about 1:15 Saturday morning. A loss prevention officer had detained a man and woman he had suspected of shoplifting.

A Dallas police officer is being treated at Baylor University Medical Center for injuries after his squad car hit a tree during a high-speed chase that ended Saturday night in Pleasant Grove.
Officer Christopher R. Cordray underwent ankle and knee surgery Sunday. He is scheduled to have hip surgery today, Dallas police spokesman Gerardo Monreal said.

TUESDAY, Nov. 18 (HealthDay News) — The widely used cancer drug Avastin appears to be associated with a greater risk of developing blood clots in the veins of patients with a variety of cancers.
