Souper Fitness Day at the Battle Creek Family YMCA

Last week the Battle Creek Family YMCA, a community based organization, held a “Souper Fitness” day. Battle Creek Family YMCA members and class participants brought 2 cans of soup to the Y and used them as small hand weights to exercise with.
After class the soup was collected and donated to the Franklin Food Pantry. The Food Pantry is supported through both monetary and food donations.

Southwest General Hospital names new CEO

has appointed Sergio Farrell as its new CEO.
Farrell had most recently served as chief financial officer for Southwest General.
Southwest General officials say Farrell was named chief financial officer of the 327-bed hospital in August 2007. Prior to joining Southwest General, Farrell was senior vice president and chief financial officer at Grady Health System in Atlanta.
