Medical office expansion in Sunnyvale continues to concern neighbors

The Palo Alto Medical Foundation has scheduled a public meeting to address residents’ concerns about its proposed expansion of its offices at 301 Old San Francisco Road in Sunnyvale.
The expansion would more than double the offices size, to 150,000 square feet, and increase the height from two stories to three stories. A three-story parking structure is also proposed.

Hawaii insurer’s health plans approved

has received approval from the state Insurance Division to offer four new health insurance plans designed specifically for sole proprietors and the self-employed.
Kaiser spokeswoman Lynn Kenton said the four plans offer varying levels of coverage to its members and the rates will be determined by age and gender. Sole proprietors will be able to choose whether they want just medical, dental or vision coverage or an all-inclusive package.
