Birth care ranks No. 1 for Colorado hospital stays

Care of newborn babies and mothers was the largest category accounting for stays in Colorado hospitals in 2007, according to figures compiled by the
(CHA).
A CHA report showed about 143,000 patients in Colorado hospitals were expectant or new mothers and babies receiving care for conditions related to childbirth and pregnancy.

Gas leak in Vallejo home sends three residents to hospital

Three Vallejo residents were hospitalized on New Year’s Day after a household wall heater leaked unsafe levels of carbon monoxide into a home, the fire department announced today.

Suspect allegedly hid drugs in police cruiser

FALMOUTH — A 21-year-old Falmouth man who allegedly offered a police officer a bribe and hid drugs under the front seat of a police cruiser was arrested on multiple drug charges Tuesday, a police spokeswoman said.
