Every day, half of America downs a multivitamin, and feels better for it. Never mind a multitude of research showing that vitamin supplements provide no proven health benefit for most people.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A patient whose summer escape from the Oregon State Hospital

GLOUCESTER – The School Committee voted unanimously last night to allow contraceptives to be distributed at the high school after a report of a pregnancy pact pushed Gloucester into the spotlight earlier this year.
The plan allows parents and guardians to withdraw their children from the contraceptive program. The new policy will take effect after the school board votes on the final language of the parental consent form.

That’s what’s motivating 25 individuals competing in Berkshire West’s contest “I Lost it at Berkshire West.”
In the model of NBC-TV’s “The Biggest Loser,” five teams of four and one team of five are sweating off the weight to see which team can lose the highest percentage of body weight in 10 weeks.
Personal trainers are assigned to each team and work with the contestants for an hour twice a week.
