4 stabbed during club's party for 'Notorious' film

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say four men were stabbed at a New York City nightclub advertising an after-party for the film premiere of “Notorious” about rapper Biggie Smalls.
Police said Saturday a 21-year-old victim stabbed numerous times was in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital. Three others were stable.
The Djumbala club is in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. Police did not immediately release further information.

Melamine – Health Ministry allays fears

The melamine scare that increased every one’s heartbeat during the
last few days, seems to be receding with the latest endorsement of the
Ministry of Health, which says that 27 milk powder and milk based
products are free of melamine.
Samples of infant milk powder, full cream milk powder, chocolates,
biscuits and cereals were sent to Singapore and India for testing for

Drugs seized from docks trailer

Customs officers have seized more than half a tonne of amphetamines at Felixstowe docks in Suffolk.
The drugs were discovered inside a 40ft (12m) trailer and two men were later arrested following the searches of five properties in the Leicester area.
Officers from HM Revenue and Customs, the UK Border Agency (UKBA) and Leicestershire Police were involved.
Details of the seizure, which happened on Wednesday, have just been released by HMRC.

Walton Foundation Gives $300000 To Medical School

FAYETTEVILLE — The Walton Family Foundation, a private charity founded by Wal-Mart founders Sam and Helen Walton, gave $300,000 Monday toward a Northwest Arkansas satellite campus of the University of Arkansas Medical School.
