Motorcyclist dies in hospital after crash

A motorcyclist hit by an SUV in north Edmonton has died in hospital.
About 7 p.m., Aug. 19, the 40-year-old man was riding his motorcycle westbound on 137 Avenue when the SUV hit him.
A 51-year-old woman driving the SUV eastbound on 137 Avenue turned northbound onto 95 Street and hit the motorcycle.
The man on the motorcycle was taken to hospital, where he died Sept. 8.

Even Mismatched Cord Blood Can Help Kids

FRIDAY, Feb. 13 (HealthDay News) — An umbilical cord blood transplant from an unrelated or unmatched donor can still help children with deadly conditions such as cancer and sickle cell anemia, Duke University Medical Center researchers report.
