Leslie Thomas, 75, claimed he suffered a string of severe side effects
including blood poisoning, fits and a collapsed colon after testing

The staph infection that took hold after Michael Anderson’s back surgery put him close to death.

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. – Former employees of the only hospital in Aliquippa are heading to Chicago in hopes of finally getting their final paychecks.
The Commonwealth Medical Center went bankrupt and closed in December.
Executives still received their paychecks, but some 250 former hospital employees did not.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—Bakersfield’s San Joaquin Community Hospital is moving ahead with plans to open the only burn center between Fresno and Los Angeles.
A hospital spokesman says the five-bed intensive care unit will cost $1 million. They hope to raise an additional $1 million endowment for pediatric patients.

Police in Clearfield County arrested 14 people on drug charges, including a husband and wife accused of running a drug operation out of a drive-through window in their mobile home.
Attorney General Tom Corbett said a drug ring funneled millions of dollars worth of cocaine to the Alleghenies. Corbett said the investigation involved people from Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia and Clearfield.
