Free health camp for Indian workers

A FREE medical camp will be held by the Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) at the Bahrain Motors Company, in Hafeera, tomorrow.
Senior medical consultants and paramedical staff will examine about 300 employees from 7pm onwards.
State Bank of India is sponsoring the camp that will be followed by dinner for the participants.

Carmel fitness center bolted shut

CARMEL – The 32-year-old Carmel Fitness and Racquet Club has been padlocked shut, surprising members and staff as they arrived for workouts yesterday.

Mexico seeks US action on drugs

President Felipe Calderón of Mexico yesterday proposed a strategic alliance with Barack Obama, US president-elect, in which security would top a long list of bilateral issues.

pneumonia.

Diet, drugs cut deaths from heart attacks and strokes, report says

Deaths from heart attacks and strokes have declined by about 30 percent since 1999, perhaps because of more aggressive treatment with cholesterol and blood-pressure drugs and healthier diets.
