BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will open three offices in China this week to help ensure export safety while China is preparing to place offices in the U.S. as well.
The first FDA office in Beijing will be opened on Wednesday, followed by one in Guangzhou and Shanghai, according to Mike Leavitt, Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the United States.

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — Southview Medical Center this week opened a $2.5 million cardiac and vascular catheterization laboratory at 1997 Centerville-Miamisburg Road.
The medical center anticipates doing 800 to 1,000 procedures in its first year, said the lab’s manager, Lori Jones.
