Iowa man accused of having drugs school trip

ELGIN, Iowa – A West Union man has been arrested after
police say he was caught with drugs during his son’s school field
trip.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jeffrey Blue was charged with possession
of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Nearly three years after federal regulators sounded an alarm about dangerous diet pills imported from Brazil, doctors in Massachusetts continue to treat patients stricken with heart problems, headaches, and insomnia linked to the powerful drugs.

E. Idaho hospital under new ownership

POCATELLO, Idaho
— Ownership of the Portneuf Medical Center in eastern Idaho has been transferred from Bannock County to a Texas-based hospital company and a nonprofit foundation.
Legacy Hospital Partners on Sunday became the owner of 77 percent of the facility, and the nonprofit Portneuf Health Care Foundation now owns 23 percent.
The two entities will run the medical center through the newly created Community Benefit Organization.
